Currie Electric Scooter Reviews

Currie Technologies e-Zip E-500 Electric Scooter

This Currie electric scooter is the brand`s most popular electric scooter and it is designed for riders of age 13 and above. This scooter will carry most teenagers and adults weighing 200-250lbs. Your teenager will enjoy the top speeds of 15-19mph which still depends on the rider`s weight and the terrain. After it arrives, you can easily assemble it in 30 minutes with the manual you get or even by watching a video of unboxing and assembling online if you are more of a visual type. Not only does the manual include the instructions on how to put the scooter together, but there is also some safety advice like recommended adult supervision when your kid is riding these impressive 19 mph speeds. They also advise wearing safety helmets which means they really care about providing you and your kid some good and safe fun. As you won’t have any problem setting this scooter up to work, your kid won’t have any trouble riding it. It is simply turned on by a flick switch and the throttle is variable so a less experienced rider can first try the slower speeds. If the top speed worries you, Currie designers made several features for your concern as a parent. This scooter has the uni-crown fork design which prevents oversteering which kids love to do. If they try descending down some harsh hills, the gearbox system prevents freewheeling to slow the scooter down so an accident wouldn’t occur. The battery can last up to 9 miles of adventure and a display shows remaining charge. It charges up in about 6-8 hours and a great thing is if your kids leave the scooter on, it automatically shuts down after a few minutes so the battery life isn’t wasted.

Pros: This scooter comes with detailed instructions for assembly and safety advice which is important for parents. This scooter has safety features like the fork design and the gearbox system which make the ride safe for a child.

Cons: Even though the handlebars are foldable and you can remove the seat to reduce its size, this scooter still weighs 56lbs so a child can’t really carry it around or handle with ease if it needs to be stored or pushed home when the battery is dead.

Currie Technologies e-Zip E23 Nano Carver Electric Scooter

This scooter is designed for kids 8-year-old and above, especially the kids who haven’t ridden an electric scooter before. The weight limit is 32 lbs which are perfect for kids. The design is made so that a kid simply has to learn to turn. People behind Nano Craver thought about safety so they made a scooter with 3 wheels and a wide nonslip deck that can give your kid that adventurous feeling at the top speed of just 10mph. It has no seat as kids usually prefer the standing ride style. It can go for 10 miles on a single charge before it`s the time to charge it up for 8-10 hours. This scooter is a great choice for going to school because it can be stored in a locker or to ride around the neighborhood with friends or going to the park. With its affordable price, it gives your kid something more than playing video games and staying indoors all day. This Currie electric scooter for kids is easy to use because all your kid needs to do is simply lean to turn and kick to start. That means it’s not just passive standing behind the wheel but it includes some exercise, too. The handlebars dissemble easily for transport and storage. However, this thing weighs about 32lbs which is beyond the strength of an 8-year-old so you will need to kick in.

Pros: This scooter is specially made for first-time riders so you don’t have to worry if the scooter is too hard to handle for your kid. This scooter is safe with the 3 wheels, 10 mph speed, 5-mile range, and a non-slip deck.

Cons: This scooter is too heavy for a child to carry, so parents will have to help with storing and carrying this scooter.

Currie Technologies e-Zip E-100 Electric Scooter

This Currie electric scooter is a large scooter that comes with a seat which makes it a great choice for teenagers and older adults. I like the fact that it is almost fully assembled once you get it, you just have to put the handlebars on the scooter and let the battery charge. You will have to wait 6-8 hours for the battery to be fully charged, but that is an average time for most scooters.

The power comes from a 1000w magnet motor which is more than enough for rides to work or recreational trips. It has the patented Currie Electro-Drive System which reduces energy consumption and makes sure the scooter is durable.  It features a wide deck with a narrow seat and splash guards for mud and dirt protection so I would recommend it for the adventurous types who like to take short trips to the park or rougher terrains. You can remove the seat for standing or sit if you feel like going for a longer ride. If you worry about your kid’s safety, this scooter has front and rear disc brakes with brake inhibit levers and the oversteering suspension. The bumps on the road are easily handled with the double suspension system. Teenagers and adults weighing about 260lbs could ride it, but the seat is not adjustable so it might not be comfortable for people of different heights. It has front an rear suspension for uneven terrains, bumps or for jumping curves on the sidewalks.

E-100 has the mileage of 12 miles on a single charge and top speed of 15mph. It is quite heavy with 81lbs but the handlebars are foldable so they reduce the scooter`s size a bit. A great thing is the battery pack can be removed for indoor charging so you don’t have to drag the whole scooter inside.

Pros: This scooter is the mid-price range so it is still affordable for you and your kids to ride. This scooter comes semi-assembled and with the toolkit provided so you won’t have any trouble finishing the assembly.

Cons: The seat on this scooter is narrow and hard so the ride is not that comfortable.
